Who We Are
Mana Investments, Inc. is an alternative investment manager with a concentration in the real estate sector.
Our firm was founded in September 2012 through a partnership with a single institutional capital source. Over the next several years we acquired under-valued real estate due to the uncertainty in the global economy. The overall portfolio peaked in 2016 with nearly 3,000 lots and homes, at which point we began to harvest our investments. An increase in interest rates was imminent, which would result in a reduction in housing demand. The initial portfolio was successfully monetized over a two-year duration, and we began to reassess the capital deployment strategy.
The beauty of having a small firm is its nimbleness in decision-making. With “dry powder” and a desire to build a portfolio of income producing properties, we have formed a partnership with Aspen Residential, LLC, a General Contractor, to self-perform ground-up, adaptive reuse and repurposing developments. By self-performing our construction, we mitigate cost and underwriting risk which equates to a greater return on cost versus acquiring stabilized income-producing assets. We underwrite, we build, we own our properties. With an acute eye for design, we pride ourselves on unlocking value through neighborhood enhancement.

The partners say the redevelopment plan calls for the office plaza to be converted to medical and “creative” office space that would support lifestyle uses, such as senior housing. Upon completion the project will be called “The Well at Sunset.”
